GenLayer is the first blockchain where smart contracts can think. Intelligent Contracts access the web, process natural language, make subjective decisions, and compose with the entire EVM ecosystem — all in Python.

Traditional smart contracts are limited to deterministic, on-chain data. GenLayer removes those constraints. Contracts can call LLMs, fetch live web data, process images, and reach consensus on subjective outputs through a novel optimistic validation model.

The program is fully remote and runs for 12 weeks. Expect to dedicate 10–15 hours per week to program activities, including mentor sessions, workshops, cohort calls, and independent work.

GenLayer Intelligent Contracts are written in Python. If you're a Python developer — whether from Web2 or Web3 — you can start building immediately. No Solidity or Cairo required.

GenLayer is an EVM-compatible Layer 2. It inherits Ethereum's security and composability while adding AI capabilities at the protocol level. Your contracts can interact with the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
